On 14th May 2023, a significant fundraising event occurred at The Indus Restaurant in Sheffield, UK. The event, organised by DWH, aimed at raising funds for the SMART Hospital. The guests of the event represented a broad spectrum of Sheffield’s community, united by a common cause – supporting healthcare advancements in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
Successful Fundraising for Donor & Memorial Wall
The primary objective of the event was to raise funds for the SMART Hospital. A new perimeter wall, named “Wall of Shifa, ” will be built around the hospital. Building this wall aims to pay tribute to the generous donors and their family members.
The event was a resounding success as it raised a substantial amount of funds. These funds will be directly applied to laying the foundation of “The First 24HR JCI Accredited SMART Teaching Hospital in Azad Jammu Kashmir”
The event brought together a diverse range of individuals, corporations, and community groups, demonstrating the power of collective effort in supporting vital community services. The attendees were treated to a night of entertainment, networking, and philanthropy, culminating in the significant funds raised for the SMART Hospital.
DWH, the event organizers have expressed their deep gratitude to the donors and attendees who made this success possible. They reiterated their commitment to organising more such events to support further the cause of healthcare advancement in Pakistan.
